Tampa Bay Birth Network is sponsoring Community Roots’ 6th Annual Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. This day is for all grieving parents to be surrounded by love and support from their friends, family, and community. It’s a day to heal and unite and remember lives lost too soon.
We will gather at Plant Park in the University Of Tampa Campus for a 1-mile family walk along the beautiful Hillsborough River. You are welcome to create and carry a sign to bring awareness to the 1 in 4 affected by a loss. There will be snacks and water, a community art project for remembering our babies, musical accompaniment, and sharing of stories. We will finish the night by releasing flowers into the river at sunset.
Children being worn or pushed in strollers are free to attend; all others must purchase tickets here. This walk acts as Community Roots’ largest fundraiser, and all proceeds afford to keep all of their services donation-based to ensure that families from all walks of life have access to quality resources and programming.
