We are continuing our monthly members only event series with the timely presentation about accounting and taxes with Andrea Johnson!

During the presentation Andrea will discuss the various entity types for a business and give a brief overview of each. Business Deductions, how they are defined by the IRS, how to keep track of them, and provide a range of examples that apply to most business. She will discuss why it is important
to have a business bank account and why keeping personal and business funds separate is critical. She will give an overview of sales tax and the changes that have occurred in the past few years and how it may be having an impact on your business. Other topics Andrea will discuss are tracking vendor payments, tracking accounts receivable and why both of these are essential to business cash flow management. Lastly, she will discuss quarterly tax payments and what the IRS rules around making them and when they are due.

ABOUT ANDREA JOHNSON:

As a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, I help small to medium-sized businesses, that have been in operation for at least 1 to 2 years, manage their Company’s finances through my accounting and tax services, using QuickBooks Online.
Throughout my career I have worked as a Bookkeeper in restaurants, handling a variety of areas, such as vendor invoicing, payroll processing and cost analysis reports; as a Tax Accountant my focus was on all things QuickBooks: account reconciliations, payroll processing, 1099 processing, training clients on how to use the platform, etc. In addition, I prepared income tax returns for S Corps and Partnerships; as an Auditor, I have experience both internally and externally, where my focus was on process audits and improvements, SOX testing and compliance, and financial statement audits.
I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Master’s degree in Accounting and have almost a decade of experience.
This is an industry I am truly passionate about. I understand that managing your Company’s accounting is the last thing business owners want to do. They would rather spend time with their families, go to dinner with friends, have a weekend away, and not comb over receipts and bank statements.
